Springtime brings us so much hope! In HOPE we can allow Jesus to

Opening our hearts to His will, by

We do this through our FAITH, which is the natural consequence of having HOPE. When we take up our crosses and follow Him, we are led to LOVE and to the fulfillment of His promises: That He is with us always until the end of time and that He has gone to the Father and prepared a place for us.
|
This is the HOPE that we bring our residents at the Heart of Mary House. Sometimes they arrive pretty hopeless. They might have lost faith in humanity, and if not already in despair, they could be close to it. Even for us, it may seem like we will not be able to make a difference and their hearts will remain distant from the Lord.

This is where we execute our FAITH in the promises that God has for ALL and spread the HOPE of redemption through our actions of LOVE! I like to use the imagery of Mary, Our Mother, at the foot of the cross:
|
The Mother of God sitting at the foot of the cross and gazing upon her innocent Son, dripping with blood for the sins of mankind, and still having FAITH in the LOVE of God.
|
There is nothing as strong as the Heart of Mary and the love She has for Her Son!
|
With this knowledge of Truth, we also understand that when we serve our residents we are serving Christ (Matthew 25). Therefore, the Immaculate Heart of Mary also burns for our residents like it did for Her Son on the Cross!
|
We do not have hope in ouselves and what we think we can do for our residents! Independence is not a virtue! We put dependence on God! We believe He is with us and our residents always! We are not attempting to walk before the Lord, we walk with Him! We lean into Mary's Heart and are present at the foot of their cross with that same FAITH in God's LOVE. This is the HOPE that pushes us to continue this tremendous and necessary work each day.

Not everyone can be at the house to serve in this way. All are invited, but when you cannot be there physically, you can always be there united in prayer with us.
